Information can be presented in Spanish, Valencian, English or Portuguese, the official languges of the congress, in the following formats:

1. PAPERS

These are scientific contributions to the core idea of the congress and the topics of the panels.

All papers that have been accepted (upon double blind peer reviewing) will be published on the acts of congress and will be uploaded on the congress website and it will be possible to consult them during the event.

Among the accepted papers, the coordinator of each thematic session will select up to 3 papers that will be presented in person (or videoconference, if the author is unable to come to Castellón) in the afternoon panels (authors will be notified in due time). Paper presentations will last up to 10 minutes. The important point in this kind of format is the interchange of visions starting from theoretical and field research and the debate generated on a same topic or the diversity of themes.

All the other accepted apers will be summarized by the coordinator who will also promote active discussion on the thematic session with the participants.

All accepted papers will be included in the Conference Proceedings and there will also be other publication options (see details in the “Publication” section).

Characteristics of papers:

  • Proposal (abstract): between 400 and 500 words. The abstract will include a clear title and 4-5 keywords to define the content you want to tackle. Research papers will also include the main objectives, conceptual framework, methodology and the possible case study.  As for proposals focused on experiences of best practices, the abstract will include the main objectives, description of the case and its contributions to the field. Additionally, in all cases, at the end of the abstract, please also indicate if you will attend the congress in person or not.
  • Paper (complete text): length between 3.000 and 3.500 words (abstract and bibliography not included). For papers submitted in Spanish, at the and of the text, they will add a section in English with the following content: title, keywords and abstract.
  • Font: Times New Roman 12 points and 1,5 spacing
  • Bibliographic style: APA
  • Format: document text in Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx) or Open Document (.odt)
  • Proposals (abstracts and full papers) will be submitted through Easy Chair. Submissions through e-mail or any other means will not be accepted.
  • IMPORTANT FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION: please copy your text in the corresponding box set up in Easy Chair  for this purpose and do not attach any file in this phase of the submission.
  • Each author can submit up to one proposal for each topic.
  • IMPORTANT: please use the following template in word format to produce your final paper.

2. WORKSHOPS

These activities entail some (handle, computer, documentary, etc.) material that contributes to the acquisition of knowledge or attitudes by participants through activities or dynamics.

By the end of the workshop, there will be some kind of production, including theoretical products (conceptual maps, outlines, schemes, collective narrative, etc.). In case of an activity carried out only by an “expert” and not together with the participants, it would be a “demo workshop” (a demonstration).

If you are interested in organizing a workshop please contact us: comunicambio2015@uji.es

Coordination of this activity: Andrea Francisco and Lidón Moliner, Universitat Jaume I

3. TISANA MEETING

It is a variant of a coffee meeting. If you participate in an online or face-to-face community that works on a topic related with the congress, we would suggest you to organize a meeting with the members of your group and reach out to the participants interested in your work.

What would we need? Together with your group/community we would decide the contents or activities for the in campus meeting. We seek open meetings so that any attendees interested in your work could meet you and participate in the activities that you have planned for your meeting.

They will take place from 15.00 to 16.00.

If you are interested in organizing a workshop please contact us: comunicambio2015@uji.es

Coordination of this activity: Andrea Francisco and Lidón Moliner, Universitat Jaume I

4. GARDEN SESSIONS

If the main conferences do not provide sufficient clarity on some details of the discussion or for time constraints we cannot extend the debate, we suggest a possible “post-session” in the Cafè dels Sentits, in the central garden of the university. It is an open and nice environment where speakers, assisted by members of the organization, will be able to answer possible questions posed by participants.

There can be a “Technological version”, that implies broadcast the conference online (open or closed streaming) and a hashtag is provided so that online participants can also ask questions through Twitter.
